The pocket book initiative is a creative outlet for established and establishing thinkers and visualists. Each book is framed by a relevant theme. Each essay should be critical and create or further discussion of some facet of the theme. The essays must focus on topics related directly to sociology or photography. The ideal essay is one that is a cross between a popular text and what would be labeled as ‘academic’.
The long-term goal of the initiative is to help foster a community of engaged and like-minded individuals who have a passion for critical as well as engaging written and visual work.
