About Hualian:

'Hualian' is a photo exploration of Taiwan's east coast city Hualian. One of only three major cities on the entire east coast, Hualian is well-known for its earthquakes and relaxed way of life. 

About Eanna de Freine:

Eanna de Freine was born in Ireland in 1987. He has a degree in Sociology and History from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth (2008) and an MA in Photography and Urban Cultures from Goldsmiths College, University of London (2012). de Freine is based in Osaka where he runs The Velvet Cell, an independent publishing house specialising in photography that deals with the themes of urbanity, modernity and structure.
